Planning your dream wedding is an exciting journey, but one that requires careful preparation to ensure your big day is truly magical.
Having worked closely with hundreds of brides over the years, the most relaxed are generally those who have planned and prepared early. Key wedding dates, particularly in peak season get booked up fast and your preferred hair stylist and makeup artist may not be available if you leave it too late to book. I always recommend brides securing the wedding date as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
I normally suggest booking your hair stylist and makeup artist as soon as you have decided upon the date and wedding venue, even if the big day is months or even years away. Plus, the peace of mind you will feel knowing that you have booked your favourite suppliers means you can spend time deciding on the finer details of your dream day.
Planning your wedding hair and makeup look is also best done early. Particularly with your chosen hair style. Many brides feel they want longer hair on the wedding day and this allows time to grow lusciously long locks for their special day. Certain up do’s require longer hair and more volume to create the desired look.
Looking forward into 2025, I think the look will be refined elegant simple hair styles and sometimes preparing the hair months in advance is essential to create this look.
Hair can be grown, coloured and restored with conditioning masks to enhance and perfect your bridal hairstyle.
Skin can also need time before the wedding to potentially reduce any issues a bride may have. This could include incorporating a skincare routine which may improve any acne, oiliness or dryness, which given time could improve or completely resolve itself before the wedding. Applying natural makeup to flawless skin is obviously the ideal thing, but of course makeup can help to conceal any blemishes and imperfections that we all have.
I always advise booking in with me for a hair and makeup trial before the wedding day to ensure we can discuss any preparations the hair or skin might need ahead of the big day.
If you would like to book in for a consultation before your wedding day, I would be delighted to hear from you. I also do hair and makeup trials for mothers of the bride, mothers of the groom and of course, bridesmaids as well.
