I had the honour of working with Kim, for her marriage to Tom, for their wedding in Cornwall.
Tom, originally from the Cotswolds and Kim from Cornwall, have always loved the sea and dreamed of having their wedding on the beautful Cornish coastline.
The wedding was held at The Rosevine, a beautiful boutique hotel, located on the Rosevine peninsula. This magical spot has incredible gardens stretching down to the Cornish beach.
I was delighted to meet Kim for her bridal hair and makeup trial in Bristol, where I got to know more about her and the exciting plans for the wedding.
Kim wanted a classic look for her Autumn wedding, with a vintage inspired hairstyle and soft natural makeup.
I used a Nars foundation on her skin, which is lovely and light, but has enough coverage for any blemishes.
We went for a soft, smokey eye makeup, with a blended eye liner and some deeper shadow in the socket to bring out Kim’s eyes more. A pop of pink on the cheeks kept the look fresh. I used Chantecaille ‘Happy’ blusher which also has a lovely dewy finish. Kim has fantastic eyebrows which we enhanced with a little ‘Boy Brow’ by Glossier.
As this was an Autumn wedding, we went with a deeper shade for the lips and chose ‘Roseberry’ by Bobbi Brown. This was the perfect choice for Kim, and I know she absolutely loved the colour, it really suited her beautiful complexion and gave just the right amount of colour without looking too made-up.
I set Kim’s hair in carmen rollers, and then dressed to one side with a centre parting and decorated with a beautiful sparkly bridal comb.
Amazingly, despite the post ceremony photo shoot on the beach in the rain, the hairstyle remained in tact! It was a beautiful and intimate wedding with the incredible Cornish coastline as the backdrop to this stunning day.
