Choosing the makeup was easy as Amelia was very sure of what she wanted from the outset. She is naturally fair skinned with a flawless English rose complexion. I loved the pink lip gloss by Dior (number 266) and the sparkly eye makeup really suited her colouring.
I used a Bobbi Brown long wear foundation in 'Porcelain', which has a lovely matt finish and I defined the eyebrows with Chanel eyebrow powder. I primed the eyelids before applying eye shadow. By using a long wear foundation and an eye shadow primer, this really helped the staying power of the makeup. I also used a Bobbi Brown 'Pale Yellow' translucent powder to help set the makeup and counteract any redness which can sometimes happens on wedding days, either from nerves or drinking Prosecco!! Amelia was keen to create a matt look for her wedding day makeup and I agree that it worked perfectly on her skin and also looks great in wedding photos.
Amelia has incredibly long lashes which were enhanced with lash curlers and Benefit 'Roller Lash' mascara, which also worked brilliantly. I used my favourite Clinique powder blusher and bronzer in 'Defining Nudes' and 'Defining Nectars' on her cheeks. These come in a trio of shades which you can also use to highlight cheek bones and brow bones for some subtle contouring. I finished the makeup by using an Urban Decay setting spray, 'All Nighter' which is a great product for ensuring the makeup lasts all day and night.
Many brides are concerned about how the makeup will last on the wedding day. At the trial I can find the best products to use so that on the big day you can feel confident that you will still look fabulous at midnight and beyond!
Amelia was delighted with her bridal look and I know she felt amazing on the wedding day. I wanted to share this trial with you so you can see how it works and what you might expect from a trial with me.
Huge thanks to Amelia xx
